Honeymoon Cruising

Many of my wedding couples choose to go on a cruise for their honeymoon. Some of my couples have never been on a cruise so this blog is dedicated to my first time sea worriers.

There are so many destinations to pick when choosing a cruise. I have personally been on 25 cruises and can tell you that there are different cruise lines that cater to different people. Big ships tend to have more activities on the boat than the smaller ships. Do your homework online and research the ships that can house 2,000 or more people. The ships that have many travelers, will have lots of wonderful shows, shops, pools and great entertainment. Here is a list of some the items you will need to pack for your trip:

  • Your passport/visa
  • Driver’s License
  • Cruise ticket
  • Sun tan and bug spray
  • List of important telephone contacts
  • Sun Glasses
  • Prescription meds
  • Toothbrush
  • Camera
  • Hat
  • Any sleeping devices
  • Pillow, if your use to having a special pillow to sleep on
  • Magazines
  • Books
  • Aspirin
  • Heartburn Medicine
  • Shaving Cream
  • Razor
  • Extra panty hose
  • Three casual dress outfits for dinner
  • Two cocktail dresses for dinner
  • Extra batteries
  • Jacket, raincoat and umbrella
  • Sneakers
  • Dress shoes
  • Cash for tips
  • Some Jewelry
  • Hair Spray
  • Plug Converter if your leaving outside the US
  • Patch (only for those who are not use to being out on the sea)

Make sure you book your offshore excursions when you board the ship as many of them book quickly, especially the spa on board. Bon Voyage!
