A Wedding Toast to Jimmy and Janet Arsenault at the Liberty House

It was a perfect wedding setting at the Liberty House in Jersey City, NJ this afternoon. For brides that are looking for a NY city landscape, this is the place to have your wedding ceremony. With the Statue of Liberty to one side and the  Freedom Tower set in the background, you could not get a better view of NYC.

The Grand Summit Hotel, Summit, NJ

Looking for a lovely place to get married, come check out the Grand Summit Hotel in Summit, NJ. The hotel is very elegant and beautifully decorated. I had the honor of working with Teresa Garcia who is the Assistant Director of Catering and Kathy Obropta who is the Banquet Sales and Service Manager. Both women ran the wedding very efficiently and the food at the cocktail hour was fantastic!

Bubbles, Bubbles Everywhere!

When planning on having your audience blow bubbles at the end of your wedding ceremony, it is important for them to understand how to do this process. Many couples assume that friends and family members know how to blow bubbles, but the truth is many do not. As a Celebrant, I have found this very interesting and will do a bubble blowing demonstration before the ceremony to ensure that this process goes smoothly once I pronounce the couple husband and wife.

Feather Centerpiece Company

This evening, while I officiated a wedding at GrayCliff Manor, I met a lovely husband and wife team that created the centerpieces for the reception tables capturing a Marilyn Monroe theme that the bride selected for her special wedding decor. The bride had black and white plates that accompanied large white feather centerpieces that had a soft luminated light in the middle of it. This company provides rental for parties and weddings. Aleana's Bridal Store

Yesterday, I came across a beautiful bridal store that just recently opened named "Aleana's Bridal." Aleana custom makes her bridal dresses and uses only the finest material from Europe. When I asked her why she custom makes her dresses, she explained to me that many brides love to select different tops and customize them to fit their dream wedding dress. Aleana also houses designer dresses that are already made for those brides that don't want customization. Aleana also carries intimate bridal wear for that special honeymoon night along with other bridal assessories.

Photographer Amy Rizzuto

I have not met many photographers that have the kind of energy that Amy Rizzuto has. Watching her today as she took photos of the bridal party, i was quite impressed. Amy demonstrated the different poses that really made the pictures come to life. She has a great eye and a wonderful demeanor about her. You can visit her website at:

What is the Difference between using a Minister verses a Celebrant

If your looking for an informal ceremony that has no personalization to it, then hiring a Minister will serve your purposes. However, if your looking for a tailor made ceremony that speaks about the both of you, then you should be looking to hire a Celebrant. Celebrants spend alot of time getting to know their couples and delivering a wedding script that is unique and memorable. Celebrants understand the rituals and traditions of their couples and can weave these formalities into a wedding script.
